1. Who is the data controller
Revival Index Ltd is the controller of personal data collected through revivalindex.com. Contact our data team at hello@revivalindex.com.
2. What we collect
- Account data — name, email, password hash, postal address.
- Item data — photos and descriptions you upload to get a verdict.
- Booking data — items routed to a Restorer, prices, postage tracking.
- Payment data — handled by our payment processor; we never see your full card number.
- Technical data — IP address, device, browser, pages viewed (for security and analytics).
3. Why we use it (lawful basis)
- Contract — to deliver the service you asked for (quotes, bookings, postage).
- Legitimate interests — site security, fraud prevention, product analytics.
- Consent — non-essential cookies and marketing emails (you can withdraw any time).
- Legal obligation — tax, accounting and consumer-rights record-keeping.
4. Who we share it with
We share only what's needed: the Restorer handling your item, our payment processor (Stripe), our hosting and email providers, and analytics tools configured to anonymise IPs. We never sell your data. Some processors are based outside the UK; transfers rely on UK adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. How long we keep it
- Account data: while your account is open, plus 12 months.
- Booking and tax records: 6 years (HMRC requirement).
- Item photos: 24 months, then anonymised for index averages.
- Marketing consent: until you withdraw it.
6. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access a copy of your data.
- Correct or delete your data.
- Restrict or object to processing.
- Port your data to another service.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
Email hello@revivalindex.com and we'll respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
7. Children
Revival Index is for users aged 16 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from under-16s.
8. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access is restricted, logged and reviewed. Despite our efforts, no system is 100% secure — please use a strong, unique password.

We'll post material changes to this page and, where appropriate, email you. The current version is the one published here.
